Je sais pas si tu peux redire le même genre de trucs, mais en même temps, t'as pas trop le choix l'inspecteur doit poser les mêmes questions à chaque suspect...

donc je dirais:

-I was in the kitchen

-And what did you do in the kitchen?

-I was cleaning Mr Delford's boots

-And what did you do when the lights went out?

-I went to the cellar in order to switch on the lights

-Right. Did you see or hear anything?

-I couldn't see anything because it was too dark,but I heard someone walking on the corridor.

-Thank you very much Mr Fortam. Now I will talk to the cook.

-I was in the garden

-I was smoking a cigarette

-What did you do when the lights went out?

-I did nothing special, I was just suprised

-I saw a man running on the path
