Avantages : You can learn a new language
You can see new friend
You can see the new traditions

Inconveniants : You can't see your family regulary
You can't see your friend
Et j'en ai pas trouve d'autres ...

Advantages: 

You can learn new languages. 
You can make new friend. 
You can be more good for speaking english as example. 
You can travel all around the country that you're in. 
Its cool to eat some new food ! 

Disadvantages: 

If you're going alone, its can be hard to not have your family to support you. 
Being alone without your friend is a step in your life. 
Don't be in your little, comfortable bed is a nightmare. 
To not be understand by all the people is very hard ! 

But to finish if it's bad or good, don't forget something. 
The most important is to have fun!
