Ok so here's what i know: usually students skip classes because they don't like school or if they have problems.of course it will affect their academic achievements,cuz if u skip a class means u might skip an important lesson so the sudent won't learn and he might fail. that's what i know,i am not so sure but that's all i have soo good luck on ur assignement.
